This padded top piano bench is one of the nicer imports you will find on the market today. What sets it apart from other imported benches is the quality of materials used along with the way the bench is constructed. One thing to take note of when examining imported piano benches is the music compartment. A cheaper bench simply staples the bottom compartment on, which does not add to the structural stability, and can severely shorten the life of the bench. Higher quality imported piano benches, such as this one, route the music compartment in (meaning that it is inserted into a groove in the wooden frame), which adds to the stability of the piano bench. With all of this in mind, we have found this bench to be one of the nicer upholstered top piano benches imported from East Asia, and believe it's a great deal for such a low price.
